WORRY is the word of the day

Sky is Falling

WORRY is the word of the day. I am tired of the incessant barrage of deliberately spun headlines designed to grap your attention about the problems of the day. It appears that negativity drawers viewers, listeners and readers. If you take the trouble to read the text of an article you will realize that the negative headline was designed to grab you and the situation is no where as bleak as the headline would claim. The real estate market is not tanking. We have had a pretty good year. It did slow during the summer but prices rebounded 25% in Alameda and Contra Costa counties in the first half of the year. I BELIEVE IN THE INHERENT DESIRE OF A PERSON TO OWN A HOME. And for better or for worse people will always want to live in the Bay area. I remember that in 2001 we experienced the DOT COM COLLAPSE AND 9/11  and people thought that the real estate market would fade away. Like clockwork the market went crazy in December;prices and activity jumped and all was well. I have written 6 offers in the past week and I show property on a regular basis. There are many people out there looking for homes. I have conversations with them every day. I held several homes open the past weekend and they all had good turnouts. It is my feeling that the market is positioning it self for another burst. Interest rates are at historic lows, inventory is up and opportunity prevails.
